Tired Games
Sometimes tired games become the actual rhythm of people’s hearts before they know it they are a shell of who they thought they were or who they actually are.
I remember watching cartoons as a kid, it was always the devil on one shoulder tormenting the angel on the other. The same old tired games.
It is these lessons we think we’ve learned, but they’re merely equations we’ve...

The Law & The Prophets
Joel 2:28-32
28“Then, after doing all those things,
I will pour out my Spirit upon all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy.
Your old men will dream dreams,
and your young men will see visions.
29In those days I will pour out my Spirit
even on servants—men and women alike.
30And I will cause wonders in the heavens and on the earth—
blood and fire and columns of smoke.

Walk the Plank
even the best sea-legs
falter and lose their balance
in this feat maybe it was
more than the open humiliation
that it invited as the entire
crew watches one lone sailor
walk across the deck of the
ship as penance for some offense
the captain sees it necessary to
set examples by wounding egos
yet after the first two times ‘walk the plank’
the noise jabber of the crew the...

writer's block (doesn't exist)
Perhaps one of the most feared and dreaded things
in the world of people who live to write or write to live is
writer’s block. It doesn’t really exist though, there are times
you can find the right words to put together and make great
written work and then there are times you are just taking life in
and not processing it through words. This time of not writing is
not something...

funnies [conversation]
my dad: so today
I was at the grocery store and I sneezed
and I startled someone and
they said “you scared the hell out of me”
me: [laughs] next time you should respond
and say “Good. Hell is not good
to have inside of you”.
my dad: uhhh I would never say that to
someone I don’t know..

I just read this great quote...
“A story has no beginning or end:
arbitrarily one chooses that moment
of which to look back or from
which to look ahead.”
MY THOUGHTS:
This is a good idea, but there’s a reason a book has a cover,
because there is a beginning and an end:
one cannot arbitraily begin in the middle
of a book or else the beginning will not be
clear and the end will not make any sense.
